Editor’s Note Welcome to a new year a new network and our new network magazine! I decided to start Women to Business Network —W2B — because I really feel that networking and getting to know other women in business is valuable to us as women and as business-women. I hope that you enjoy being part of this network and that you get more out of it than just attending a monthly meeting. Let’s keep in touch during the month on our Facebook page. Of course it’s nice to see business offers on Facebook, but let’s use the tools available to touch base, ask for advice, pose questions and share points of interest throughout the month. You’ll find in this issue an overview of the new network including benefits and costs. This is OUR network which means that it will be so much better if everyone is an active participant. Networking is more fun with new people, so bring your friends, neighbours and colleagues. ALL WOMEN ARE WELCOME! The more we grow, the bigger the events we can host and the more people learn about our businesses. This is going to be a great year and I’m very excited to be starting this journey with you! It’s Time to Think BIG It’s a new year and we have a new network. How can we all benefit from working together and growing the W2B Network? Women to Business Network is run by women for women with the aim of promoting business in the community and supporting women who work to achieve their goals. The Particulars Membership fee is £30 a year. Meeting fees are as follows: £6 for members and £10 for non-members. By becoming a member, you are already saving £10 a year in meeting fees. Membership will include a quarterly magazine and only members will have the option to advertise in the magazine. Membership with W2B will also guarantee you a reduced rate as a stall holder at the Yorkshire Show. And with membership you will be entitled to a 10% discount on all non-alcoholic beverages at the Parsonage Hotel in Escrick. throughout the month. Meetings will be held once a month at the Parsonage Hotel in Escrick 10 months of the year. We will have a Christmas social and a summer social. Meetings will be a mixture of speakers on various topics and hands on demonstrations. I’d like to make W2B exactly as you want it. To do that I need your input. I’m open to suggestions about content, speakers, meeting format….anything. All ideas are welcome and can discuss them as a group or you can email me privately. Let’s work together to make W2B great.
