“one-piece construction” for
their paver and versa-lok ®
wall products. This means the
concrete and color are mixed
and poured together creating
a one-piece product with the
same color and consistency
throughout. CST is confident
that this is the most reliable
way to guarantee long-term
color, strength and durability.
Face Mix:
A Two-Piece Process
A Face Mix is a common
manufacturing technique used
in the industry to save on the
cost of color. A face mix has
two mixes applied during the
stone’s manufacturing. A base
mix fills the mold to create the
paver, and then a thin topcoat
with the color is applied to
finish the manufacturing
process.
