…and the problems brought on by age, mental illness… Washtenaw Housing Alliance (WHA) The WHA is comprised of more than two dozen non-profit organizations providing shelter, housing, and supportive services for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. In addition to CSSW, this extraordinary collaboration harnesses the commitment, energy and resources of a major hospital system, the Cities of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, three major institutions of higher education, the private sector and the community at large to end homelessness in our community. Changing Lives We couldn’t do it alone. Since 1959, Catholic Social Services has been able to sustain its high quality programs through the generous and longstanding support of individual donors, corporations and foundations. Each gift goes toward improving the quality of lives of thousands of vulnerable families each year. • Annual cash contributions are the gifts most frequently made to the Agency for support of programs and services. Many corporations match a donor’s gift of cash; donors should send their checks together with a completed matching gifts form usually available from their company’s human resources or public relations office • Gifts of Tribute provide a lasting expression of love, appreciation or condolence. You may make a gift at any time in memory or in honor of those special people in your life. An imprinted card is sent to the person or family of the person named in the gift • Designate your gift to Catholic Social Services (#364) through United Way and provide annual support for programs and services • A gift to our endowment funds through The Marnee & John DeVine Foundation, Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation or the Community Foundation for SE Michigan will provide a source of perpetual income and stability for CSSW programs 1959 6 2009
…substance abuse, disability, and stress… The Marnee & John DeVine Foundation of Catholic Social Services Established in 1992, the Marnee & John DeVine Foundation is responsible for raising and investing private contributions to ensure the long-term sustainability of CSSW. The Foundation has established several endowment funds that provide perpetual income for the Agency. Donors have the choice of making an outright gift to endowment, leaving a gift through a will or trust, or designating Catholic Social Services as the beneficiary of life insurance and/or retirement benefits.
