About the book<br />
• Dieter is a fifteen year old boy in WWII<br />
Germany he was in the Hitler Youth and after<br />
he graduated he became a leader of a group<br />
of Jungvolk. When he is shipped off to fight<br />
Americans or Amis he becomes partners with<br />
sergeant Schafer (shay fuh). Dieter’s devotion<br />
to Hitler and Germany has blinded him and he<br />
refuses to believe what Schafer is telling him.

• Spencer is a sixteen year old boy in America<br />
and he leaves behind family and friends and<br />
he drops out of school to join the<br />
paratrooper’s 101 st division. Then he gets his<br />
wish he shipped of to Germany to fight the<br />
Nazis.
