The Vijay TV awards returned with a big bang.<br />
The star studded ceremony which took place in<br />
Chennai began by honouring the nine recipients<br />
of the National awards, which included Saranya<br />
Ponvannan, Vairamuthu, Thambi Ramaiah, Dinesh<br />
and Dhanush. Angadi Theru was adjudged the best<br />
movie. Vikram and Anjali took the Best Actor and<br />
Actress trophies for their performances in Raavanan<br />
and Angadi Theru respectively. Dhanush accepted<br />
the best villain award on behalf of Rajinikanth<br />
for Enthiran. A.R.Rahman was given the music<br />
honours. Other award winners included Suriya,<br />
Trisha and Shankar. The Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan<br />
Award was presented to K. Balachander.
