I have been blessed to be a part of this
wonderful STVM community for nearly 40
years, and especially the past two and half
years as part of the administration. In keeping
with our mission statement, it is easy to see
that our students remain our top priority
and focus. Our success as faculty, staff and
administrators can only be measured by the
success of our students and their academic
achievement, extra curricular activities and spiritual development.
It is not surprising that our list of clubs, organizations and athletic
venues continue to grow each year.
We are fortunate to have some of the finest coaches and advisors
in the area. Our coaches provide our student athletes with the
qualities needed to ensure they understand that excellence in any
sport is determined by the academic achievement in the classroom.
This excellence creates support of our school among its constituent
groups including students, alumni and friends, and fans at all levels.
We, the administrators, faculty and staff look forward to a very
successful fall sports season from our Football, Cheer, Boys and Girls
Soccer, Boys and Girls Cross Country, Boys and Girls Tennis, Boys and
Girls Golf, and Volleyball teams. We wish them all the very best and
look forward to a great season for all our athletes.
In closing, thank you so much for your support of STVM. With
your help, we will continue to focus on our students and our mission.

Dear STVM Community:
Thank you for your continuous support
of the Irish athletic program. The tradition
of athletic excellence at St. Vincent-St. Mary
would not be possible without the backing
of our coaches, parents, faculty, alumni, and
booster members. The dedication of the
entire STVM community provides our studentathletes
with the opportunity to wear the
green and gold proudly and victoriously on the playing field.
With your support, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School makes
available the opportunity for every student to participate while
promoting good sportsmanship, integrity, and performance that is
consistent with our mission and the Catholic education maintained
in our classrooms. After watching the student-athletes prepare this
summer for their upcoming seasons and talking to our coaches, we
should be in store for another very successful year.
I hope to see you at all of our contests.

Tradition is much more than a word of
inspiration at STVM. Tradition is real, and the
past year saw our traditions extended into
numerous champions again and again. The
newspaper pages and the TV reports were
focused on our students, our exceptional
academic programs such as the wonderful
science curriculum, our athletes, our musicians
and actors. You saw our rockets fly in Virginia
and our band march in New York City. Our student body did a
raucous “send off” to each of these groups in support of their great
accomplishments.
The fall sports season is especially exciting because so many
students are involved. The arch rivalries make each sport more fun,
and the fans in the stands bring that sense of community support and
alumni memories full circle. We anticipate repeating the successes
of the past. Our 100 years of history remain ever present as our
teams walk onto the fields and courts to begin each new school year.
I congratulate Tom Carone on his new title as President of the
school. Also, we have named Tony Casalinuovo as our Dean of
Students. Both exceptional men are alums of the school and look
forward to leading and enjoying the students, faculty and staff, as
well as parents and alumni.
I quote Psalm 90 again: “Give success to the work of our hands!”
God has heard and granted our prayers in the past, and I am
confident that He will do so again.
Enjoy and support our fall teams, musicians, cheerleaders, student
trainers and support staff.
