readership health, wealth and happiness.
May Allah give us the strength and resolve
to become pillars of support for our less
privileged brethren, Ameen.

It is my privilege to welcome the
readership of TCS CONNECT to this
new edition of our magazine. Staying
in continuous touch with our valued
customers is a cornerstone of our
endeavors, and we are grateful to Allah
Almighty for the many opportunities
that He has blessed us with to be of
service to Pakistan and its people. The
resilience of the Pakistani nation has
been put to the test time and again,
and each time we have proved more
than equal to the task of dealing with
and overcoming daunting odds.
I am humbled in the extreme by the
gesture of my Chairman Mr. Khalid
Awan in naming the Head Office
Building after me. This huge honour I
see as a celebration of ALL TCS
People without whom this success that
we have achieved would not have been
possible. I feel I have done no more
than was expected of me in my pursuit
of Rizq-i-Halal, and the same would
apply to all my colleagues. Thank you
Khalid Sahab for your fatherly
presence, and for the inspiration that
you have provided for taking us higher
and further.
TCS is fully cognizant of the role
express logistics is playing in reversing
the slide in Pakistan’s economic
activity. I am absolutely confident that
the future of our business and our
people will be extremely prosperous
despite the odds and challenges. It is
a mark of our trust in our people that
we are not reluctant in making huge
investments to expand our capabilities,
and venture into diversified business
segments.
These massive investments made in
the past in people, infrastructure,
building capacity and technology are
helping us prevail in the current downturn
in general economic conditions
and a fragile business environment.
Had we not reinvested in the business,
we might have been struggling like
other businesses that are finding it
difficult to survive in the backdrop of
continuous escalations in fuel prices
and subsequent inflation in the cost of
doing business.
Let us pray that Almighty Allah shower
His blessings upon us and help us
pass through the most challenging
times of our history as a nation, Ameen.
