Vinyasa Yoga<br />
Active for Life<br />
Yoga generates motion without causing strain and imbalance in the<br />
body. A consistent yoga practice can quiet the mind and refresh the<br />
body, improve flexibility, strengthen and tone muscles and most importantly<br />
relive stress. Classes are taught by our certified instructor who<br />
specializes in Vinyasa style yoga. Wear loose fitting clothing, bare feet<br />
or socks. Please bring a yoga mat as they’re not provided. This class<br />
is open to anyone. The instructor is helpful in making adaptations for<br />
individuals in the class. Participants may also do a drop-in class for the<br />
dates below for $10.<br />

who prefer a less strenuous workout, or those wanting to return to the<br />
basics. Our instructor is a certified yoga instructor. This class is open to<br />

in the class. Please bring a yoga mat as they’re not provided. Participants<br />
may also do a drop-in class for the dates below for $10.<br />

R.I.P.P.E.D. Fitness<br />
Active for Life<br />
This total body, high intensity style program, utilizing free weights,<br />
resistance, and body weight, masterfully combines the components of<br />
R.I.P.P.E.D.®--- Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance and<br />
Diet (on your own!) to help you attain and maintain your physique in ways<br />
that are fun, safe, doable, and extremely effective. The deliberate combination<br />
of the R.I.P.P.E.D.® elements and how they are precisely organized<br />
in the R.I.P.P.E.D®. class format provide the basis for the One Stop Body<br />
Shock System, by stimulating both different energy systems and muscles<br />
in each workout segment, changing the focus and activities every 6 to 9<br />
minutes. Along with driving, motivating music, participants jam through<br />
R.I.P.P.E.D.® with smiles, determination and strength. No boredom here,<br />
for all levels, R.I.P.P.E.D.® is effective, it’s tough yet doable; R.I.P.P.E.D.®<br />
will absolutely challenge your levels of fitness and endurance!<br />

How to Reserve a Park Shelter<br />
Park shelters in the city can be reserved two different ways. The<br />
first way is to go to our website and go through the online reservation<br />
process. This process will allow individuals to search for open dates and<br />
seek amenities that they need for their gathering. The other way is to fill<br />
out a Park Shelter reservation forms. These forms can be found at our<br />
website or at the Recreation Department office. For more details, see our<br />
website, www.cityofstougton.com/rec.<br />
Norse Park Outdoor Skating Rink<br />
The skating rink at Norse Park will be open again this winter. The<br />
open and close dates are dependent on the weather. The warming house<br />
is open weekdays from 5-8 PM and weekends from 12-4 PM.<br />
Lowell Park Community Garden<br />
2015 will be our fourth year of having<br />
a community garden at Lowell Park.<br />
Gardening is a great family recreation<br />
activity and promotes a healthy lifestyle.<br />
The plots at our community garden are<br />
15 feet by 20 feet and they are $35 apiece.<br />
