„Once upon a time in Vespa occupied Europe...“<br />

- if Quentin Tarantino ever decided to build a<br />

customized ride, he‘d name it „Glorious Basterd“.<br />

And, because Tarantino has neither time nor the<br />

know how, he‘d get SIP to do the job for him.<br />

The basis for the frame is a VNB, modified by a chassis specialist<br />

based on the Vespa Seigiorni . The leg shield is curved<br />

inwards and trimmed down a bit. To make sure the Vespa<br />

doesn‘t look too naked up front, a trimmed down luggage<br />

rack from a Rally gets modified to fit as well. Now come trapeze<br />

formed handlebars from the Indian Bajaj Sprint - dropped,<br />

of course, with a new SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter and<br />

SIP main brake cylinder added to the already eclectic mix. Side<br />

fenders come from a GS 160, which fit nicely on the VNB<br />

frame, especially because the chassis has been modified to<br />

12“. The 12“ conversion is based on a VESPA GTS300. Here,<br />

the brake drum, PK fork and the SIP Performance shocks<br />

need modification. Add a rear light from a Vespa ‚51 V30,<br />

modified to LED and a headlight with LED daylight lamps. To<br />

keep the Vespa silhouette flowing, a new SIP Vespa vintage<br />

seat round out the rear lines.<br />

The heart of this Basterd is the motor. To keep away from the<br />

mainstream trend of the stolid PX200, obviously a LML 125cc<br />

reed valve crankcase is the favorite.<br />

The LML Vespa NV 125/150 originally has a reed valve intake.<br />

This is fed by a special MMW manifold. A 35mm MIKUNI flat<br />

slide valve, a YAMAHA RD350 reed and a RAM AIR air filter<br />

round out the carburetor set up. A QUATTRINI M1X 177cc<br />

aluminum cylinder, a special reed mushroom head shaft and<br />

an RS-Performance left hand Curley exhaust deliver the power.<br />

The Parmakit ignition together with a matching MMW<br />

aluminum fan wheel brings the motor closer to the ignition<br />

bottom end theme. Airbrush legend Markus - The Intouchable<br />

- Pfeil www.marcuspfeil.com) is the right man for the<br />

paint job on the Basterd. Here, color and racing designs from<br />

the 60‘s is the ideal look. Elements from the custom corner<br />

should be integrated as well - a mix of race optics and custom<br />

airbrushing, in a modern interpretation. Typical Basterd. The<br />

paint job should be asymmetrical like 70‘s wall paper and<br />

colorful like the Zirri Sprinter from the early 80‘s.<br />

models there are no original clutches available anymore. Until<br />

now, there was no other option than purchasing expensive<br />

second hand clutches. A first competitor to the Lusso3/Cosa<br />

has been developed in the Largeframe sector which features<br />

a most up to date technique.<br />

The first hightech shock absorber that has been exclusively<br />

designed to fit the Vespa PX series. We are able to present a<br />

modern and groundbreaking suspension that will slingshot<br />

your Oldschool scooter unerringly into the “Here and Now”!<br />

Features such as a continuously adjustable spring preload, a<br />

progressive spring and a 20-fold rebound control adjustment<br />

are but a few of the sophisticated characteristics of this absorber.<br />

The continuously adjustable spring preload allows for<br />

a stronger preload of the shock absorber spring in the basic<br />

setting The spring preload is adjusted by two lock rings which<br />

function as effective safeguards against unintended adjustment.<br />

Furthermore, our shock absorbers are equipped with<br />

a progressive spring which features spring windings with decreasing<br />

clearance (progressive). The rebound adjustment positively<br />

completes the overall picture of the absorber. You can<br />

adjust the rebound control to 20 different levels (“Clicks”).<br />

Innovation in style, engineering and security. The new SIP tubeless<br />

rim, successful and reliable. This rim allows you to use<br />

tires without a tube. In case of a puncture a sudden air leak<br />

will be prevented, the air pressure will decrease slowly. The<br />

rim rotation is very precise. The rim is aluminium cast and<br />

CNC machined. Die The rim comes in 2.50 inch which makes<br />

for easier tire fitting. The rim allows fitting tires from 3.00/<br />

3.50 up to 130/90-10 as well as all tires with an approved rim<br />

size of 10x 2.50 inch.<br />
