For the third year running Murdoch University students will travel to Silguri, West Bengal in the North Eastern corner of India where they will provide free chiropractic care, first aid and basic medical supplies for the children and other community members. Associate Professor Brian Nook, Dean of the School of Chiropractic and Sports Science said “25 students, five qualified chiropractors and a paramedic will provide treatment for two weeks.” “The reality in these communities is that children aged two to 14 have to earn a living rock-breaking and face appalling living conditions coupled with inadequate health care,” Professor Nook said. “This is a fantastic initiative by our students who are committed to the cause and have paid for their own airfares.” “It provides a much needed community service to the people in India who are hungry for our support and request our services.” “It also provides our students the opportunity to experience unique conditions and interactions with other qualified chiropractors.” New RMIT Chiropractic Student Association President Nick Gentile RMIT University Chiropractic Student Association (CSA) held an election on the 5th May for a new Executive Committee.
