<strong>Melt</strong>-<strong>Away</strong> <strong>De</strong>-<strong>Icer</strong> quickly thaws ice, frost and snow on all equipment,<br />

vehicles, handrails and other critical areas where ice and snow accumulate.<br />

DIRECTIONS:<br />

TO PREVENT FROZEN WINDSHIELDS, WIPERS AND LOCKS: Apply <strong>Melt</strong>-<strong>Away</strong><br />

<strong>De</strong>-<strong>Icer</strong> immediately before freezing weather is expected. Use once every<br />

week in locks during cold weather.<br />

TO MELT ICE ON WINDSHIELDS, CAR WINDOWS, AND HEADLIGHTS: Start up<br />

car and turn on defroster. Hold can upright, direct spray toward ice and press<br />

button. For quicker action on windshields, turn on wipers.<br />

TO OPEN FROZEN LOCKS: Hold can upright, close to lock, using the extender<br />

tube, direct the spray into lock. Will not harm vehicle’s fi nish.<br />

FOR OTHER DE-ICER USES: (walkways, ramps, handrails, door handles,<br />

headlights, taillight) hold can upright. Directly spray on ice.<br />

CAUTIONS: Vapor harmful. Skin, eye and respiratory tract irritant. Use with<br />

adequate ventilation. Avoid continuous breathing of vapor or spray mist. To<br />

avoid breathing vapors or spray mist, open windows and doors or use other<br />

means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience<br />

eye watering, headaches or dizziness, increase fresh air or wear respiratory<br />

protection (NIOSH) MSHA TC23C or equivalent), or leave the area. In a confi ned<br />

area, vapors in high concentration are anesthetic. Overexposure may result in<br />

light-headedness, staggering gait, giddiness, and possible nausea. Intentional<br />

misuse by deliberately inhaling contents can be harmful or fatal.<br />

FIRST AID: For eyes, rinse thoroughly, but gently with lukewarm water for at<br />

least 15 minutes. If inhaled, get fresh air, then seek medical attention. If on<br />

skin, wash with soap and water. If swallowed, call Poison Control Center or<br />

physician immediately. Get person to emergency facilities as soon as possible.<br />

Keep away from heat, sparks, and fl ames. Do not puncture or incinerate<br />

container. Do not expose to heat or store at temperatures above 120°F(49°C)<br />

as container may burst. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. DO NOT SMOKE<br />

– Extinguish all fl ames, pilot lights and heaters. Turn off stoves, electronic tools<br />

and appliances, and any other sources of ignition.<br />
