The Lebo Light wishes to express our
sincere condolences to the families that
have lost a loved one recently.
Harvey “Dale” Standiferd, 59, of
Lebo passed away Thursday,
September 4, 2014 at his home. He
was born December 12, 1954 at
Emporia, Ks to Harvey “Bud’ and Jo
Rosine Standiferd. He attended school
in Olivet, Ks until it closed then
transferred to Lebo where he graduated
in 1972.
Dale was preceded in death by his
parents. He is survived by two sisters,
Nancy Mark and her husband Rolland,
Council Grove and Jean Davies and her
husband, Harlan, Lebo. He also is
survived by three nephews, a niece,
great-nephews and great-nieces.
James A. Thomas, 82, of
Olathe, KS passed away Friday,
September 5, 2014 at his home.
Jim was born February 25, 1932 in
Topeka, Ks to Allen and Virginia
Thomas. He graduated from Lebo
High School in 1950. He was a
Corporal in the US Army before
attending KSTC in Emporia where
he received his Masters in
Educational Administration.
He was preceded in death by his 1 st
wife, Mary Thomas; their son, Danny
Thomas, and two brothers and his
parents. He is survived by two sons,
Jerry and Rusty, and daughter, Linda
plus several grandchildren. Also
surviving are his wife, Gertrude “Gertie”
Gould Thomas; and step children,
Susan Singleton, Rodney Gould, Bob
Gould, Vincent Gould, Roger Gould and
their families.
Anna Louise Wiley, 95, of Kerrville,
TX passed away Tuesday,
September 16, 2014. She was born
May 16, 1919 in Mifflinburg, PA. She
was the daughter of Gertrude
“Bobbi” Woolsey Barber Lewis and
James Corbett Lewis. Anna Louise
attended school in Lebo all 12 years
and graduated in 1937.
On March 6, 1939, she married
Wesley Hubert Jones of Barclay, Ks.
They resided in Lebo until 1959
when they moved to Overland Park,
KS. Wesley passed away in 1986. In
1991, Anna Louise married Ralph
Wiley, a former high school
sweetheart, from Wichita, Ks. Later,
she moved to Kerrville, TX to be
closer to family.
Anna Louise was preceded in
death by her parents; two brothers,
James C. Lewis, Jr. and Robert W.
Lewis; and a sister, Eleanor Mae
Adkins. She is survived by a son,
Robert Wesley Jones of Gilbert, AZ
and a daughter, Judith Jones Reed of
Sedona, AZ plus several
grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
A memorial service
will be held in Lebo at a later date.

plans. If you have a prescription drug plan
currently, you should have already received a
packet in the mail from your current provider.
Take time to read the changes that will take
effect January 1, 2015 to your current plan.
Medicare encourages anyone with a
prescription drug plan to review their coverage
yearly. Have your prescriptions changed? Will
your premiums and co-pays increase? Will your
current plan still be available in 2015? Do you
qualify to receive EXTRA HELP paying your
premiums?

counseling is FREE, unbiased, confidential, and
