The majority of the accounting profits of the trading subsidiary are Gift aided to the parent
company. A payment of Gift Aid of £2,263,288 (2011: £1,746,470) was made from Media to
UCAS. The Directors of the subsidiary company are of the opinion that it has achieved a good
trading result in otherwise difficult market conditions.
