women’s basketball team won a first round game<br />

in the NCAA Tournament in 1999, defeating<br />

Nebraska, 98-92.<br />

• The Cats’ 64 second-half points were the<br />

most scored by a team in a half in the history <strong>of</strong><br />

the West Regional first or second round. <strong>Kentucky</strong>’s<br />

31 made free throws also tied the West<br />
