Asia Pacific
Since 1996 the UK P&I Club has built up the most extensive international office network of an International
Group club, utilising and developing locally-based expertise and extending claims handling authority across
a number of offices and their executive staff. There are now over 40 executives in Hong Kong, Singapore,
Tokyo, New Jersey, San Francisco and Piraeus.
Our Asia Pacific offices have grown in strength to reflect the growing demand for advice, claims handling
support and loss prevention services from Members within the Region. These offices enable the delivery of
Club service in Members’ local languages and time zones.
Hong Kong represents the focal point for service delivery in Greater China and Korea. Supported by
representative offices in Shanghai and Beijing, it assists and advises Members operating within Greater
China as well as the wider Club membership trading here. The office is fully integrated with the Club's
global paperless file claims system, and provides loss prevention support, claims and guarantee authority. It
also manages and supports the services provided by other offices in the region.
The UK P&I Club has over many years worked closely with legal, commercial and maritime organisations
across the Asia Pacific region to achieve a deeper shared understanding of the P&I industry and, in
particular, to further and protect the interests of its Members.
