3030.2 Technical Delegate Qualifications<br />
3030.2.1 A TD may not undertake another role on the Organising Committee, except<br />
at national or regional competitions.<br />
3030.2.2 For World Ski Championships, Olympic Winter Games, World Cups and<br />
any other championship competition an "A" Licence TD must be used.<br />
3030.2.3 For all other international competitions with the exception of open national<br />
championships, a TD must have at least a "B" licence.<br />
3030.3 Replacement of the Technical Delegate<br />
In all cases where a replacement is made, a full report must be made and<br />
forwarded to the FIS Bureau, the FIS Freestyle Committee, the Organising<br />
Committee of the competition concerned and the designated FIS Freestyle<br />
Representative.<br />
3030.3.1 Before the Competition<br />
For World Championships and Olympic Games<br />
The FIS Council must appoint a replacement from among the qualified<br />
people present. The Organising Committee of the competition, the FIS Bureau<br />
and the FIS Freestyle Committee must be informed.<br />
For all other International and Continental Competitions<br />
The FIS Freestyle Committee is responsible for the immediate appointment<br />
of a licenced substitute. The Organising Committee of the competition,<br />
the FIS Bureau and the FIS Freestyle Committee must be informed.<br />
3030.3.2 During the Competition<br />
For World Championships and Olympic Winter Games<br />
The FIS Council as well as the National Association from which the TD<br />
comes must appoint a replacement.<br />
For all other International and Continental Competitions<br />
The designated Freestyle representative has the power to appoint a replacement.<br />
This should be done after consultation with the FIS Office.<br />
For an international competition, a TD capable of assuring the start and<br />
continuation of the competition can be appointed even though they do not<br />
meet all the conditions of article 3030.2. Provided that this criterion is met,<br />
the most highly qualified available substitute should be appointed.<br />
3030.4 Duties of the Technical Delegate in the Jury<br />
3030.4.1 The TD acts as technical consultant to the Jury.<br />
3030.5 Duties of the Technical Delegate before the Competition<br />
3030.5.1 The TD must inspect official and reserve courses just prior to the start of official<br />
training.<br />
3030.5.2 The inspection should cover the following:<br />
- The technical data of the courses in accordance with the FIS Freestyle<br />
Course Standards Manual.<br />
