It’s Not Rocket Science...It’s a HELOC MESSAGE FROM THE CEO A one hundred million milestone has been reached in the Credit Union Movement. Today, there are over 100 million memberships in credit unions nationwide. That number becomes even more impressive when you consider the population of the United States is just over 300 million. We hope Securityplus reflects all the positive characteristics that have drawn people to credit unions since they came into existence in 1934. Since credit unions were added to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) in 2009, they have outperformed banks in terms of customer satisfaction every year. Plus, in 2014, the Chicago Booth Kellogg School Financial Trust Index showed that consumers trust credit unions more than banks. The index showed trust in credit unions is 60% while trust in big banks is 30%. While 60% is lower than what I would like to see, being perceived as more than twice as trustworthy as your competitor in an age of justifiable skepticism is impressive. I’m happy to report that our membership is showing excellent growth this year. We are working hard to exceed member expectations and earn your trust. At the same time, we’re letting more people know about our institution and our mission. As a result, we are seeing more new members come through our doors.
