Construction Blocks A and B are scrappy blocks. Do not worry about the placement of lights and darks - just sew! 1 (A) Join 2–2½"x 10" and 1–4½"x 10" rectangles together. See diagram. Press away from the center strip. Make 8 strip sets. Cut 15–4½" wide units. (B) Join 2–2½"x 10" and 1–4½"x 10" rectangles together. See diagram. Press towards the center strip. Make 8 strip sets. Cut 30–2½" wide units. (C) Join 2–2½" wide units and 1–4½" wide unit. See diagram. Make 15 of Block A. (A) 2½"x 10" 4½"x 10" press 4½" 2½"x 10" Make 8 strip sets. Cut 2–4½" wide from each. Make 15 (B) 2½"x 10" 4½"x 10" press 2½" 2½"x 10" (C) Make 8 strip sets. Cut 4–2½" wide from each. Make 30 press Block A Make 15 8½"x 8½" with seams 2 Combine 3–6½"x 2½" rectangles. Press in one direction. Repeat to make 26 of Block B. 6½"x 2½" 6½"x 2½" 6½"x 2½" (6) press Block B Make 26 6½"x 6½" with seams
Assemble Quilt 3 Referring to the diagram on the center page, sew the column pieces together, noting the location of the labeled fabric pieces. There is no right or wrong placement for the rest of the blocks, except for size and block type (A or B), let your eye decide which block to use next. Press. Join completed columns. Finishing 4 Join the 8–2½"xWOF Binding strips. Layer, quilt and bind the quilt.
