Chronic Effects
LD50 (oral, rat): 2460 mg/kg
LC50 (inhalation, rat)4H: 7551 ppm
LC50 (inhalation, mouse)8H: 1250 ppm
LD50 (oral, mouse): 269 mg/kg
Harmful by inhalation. Vapour or mist may cause irritation of the nose and
throat at high concentrations. Early symptoms include weakness, headache,
dizziness, confusion, anxiety, nausea and vomiting.
Harmful if swallowed. May cause irritation to the gastrointestinal tract, with
resultant headaches, nausea, and vomiting. May cause nervous system,
respiratory system and kidney effects. May cause similar symptoms to those
seen if product is inhaled. Effects may be delayed for several hour.
Harmful in contact with the skin. Will cause irritation in contact with the
skin, which can result in drying and defatting of the skin and possible
dermatitis.
Irritating to eyes. Eye contact may cause severe irritation with reversible
corneal changes. Vapours may cause irritation.
Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause defatting leading to dermatitis.
