Ground Penetrating Radar<br />
The high resolution imaging capabilities of the 3d-Radar system<br />

Anti Tank mines with low metal content give strong reflections and<br />
appear as bright features in the radar images while AP plastic<br />
mines are more difficult <strong>to</strong> detect. Metallic targets such as shells<br />
and other UXO give strong reflections, and the high resolution of<br />
the radar images makes it possible <strong>to</strong> recognize the shape and<br />

Surveillance Systems<br />
<strong>Curtiss</strong>-Wright’s Video Management System (VMS) offers complete surveillance solutions for rotary and fixed wing aircraft. VMS<br />
includes rugged displays, video distribution and recording equipment that are scalable, highly interoperable and easy <strong>to</strong> install<br />
and reconfigure. VMS has been successfully fielded in a wide range of demanding applications, including SAR and border patrol<br />
operations. In the UK, London’s Metropolitan Police Air Support Unit relies on VMS. In Australia, airborne surveillance units deploy<br />
VMS on both fixed and rotary wing aircraft.<br />
A fully integrated system, VMS uses <strong>to</strong>uch-screen technology <strong>to</strong> enable pilots and observers <strong>to</strong> independently select, <strong>view</strong> and record<br />
images – with no signal loss – from multiple camera and sensors. In addition, video transmission downlink via microwave is available.<br />
