“Nasty Bunch! Nasty Bunch! Nasty! Bunch!”
The Nasty Bunch is the name of the football
It is used each time Southern Miss holds an opposing
offense on third down or when the Nasty Bunch makes
a significant defensive play, which is often.
Are Yo u Fr o m Dixie?
Are you from Dixie? I said from Dixie!
Where the fields of cotton beckon to me.
I’m glad to see you, tell me how be you
and the friends I’m longing to see.
If you’re from Alabama, Tennessee or Caroline
any place below the Mason Dixon Line,
then you’re from Dixie, hurray for Dixie!
’Cause I’m from Dixie too!
Are You from Dixie? is played after every extra point
scored during a Southern Miss football game. It is also
the official song of the Dixie Darlings.
