Better Policy - Louisiana Community and Technical College System

2011 legislative session were impressive, with the
successful passage of all legislation championed by
the LCTCS.
• A $25,000 grant was awarded to Louisiana Delta
Community College to provide a salary match
to hire staff for the college foundation in order to
increase private fundraising capacity.
• The Foundation solicits and manages funds for
LCTCS colleges that do not have foundations.
Over $1.5 million was received to support college
programs, establish new endowments, provide
student scholarships, and fund new facility
construction in 2010-2011.
The past five years have been a dynamic time of growth
for both the LCTCS and the LCTCS Foundation. The
Foundation’s Board of Directors and staff wish to thank the many donors who have supported these important
initiatives. Together, we are changing Louisiana by creating vibrant and growing two-year colleges. The
private investment of corporations and individuals is beginning to change the face of LCTCS colleges and
lifting them to a new level of excellence. The workforce of tomorrow begins with today’s community and
technical colleges. Let’s keep building together!
