11.8.3 All official <strong>USPSA</strong> interpretations of the rulebook published on the<br />

<strong>USPSA</strong> website (www.uspsa.org) will be deemed to be precedents and<br />

will be applied to all <strong>USPSA</strong> matches commencing on or after 7 days<br />

from the date of publication. All such interpretations are subject to ratification<br />

or modification at a regular or special meeting of the <strong>USPSA</strong><br />

Board of Directors.<br />

CHAPTER 12: Miscellaneous Matters<br />

12.1 Appendices<br />

All Appendices included herein are an integral part of these rules.<br />

12.2 Language<br />

English is the official language of the <strong>USPSA</strong> <strong>Rules</strong>. Should there be discrepancies<br />

between the English language version of these rules and versions presented<br />

in other languages, the English language version will prevail.<br />

12.3 Disclaimers<br />

Competitors and all other persons in attendance at an <strong>USPSA</strong> match are wholly,<br />

solely and personally responsible to ensure that all and any equipment which they<br />

bring to the match is fully in compliance with all laws applicable to the geographical<br />

or political area where the match is being held. Neither <strong>USPSA</strong> nor any<br />

<strong>USPSA</strong> Officers, nor any organization affiliated to <strong>USPSA</strong> nor any officers of any<br />

organization affiliated to <strong>USPSA</strong> accepts any responsibility whatsoever in this<br />

regard, nor in respect of any loss, damage, accident, injury or death suffered by<br />

any person or entity as a result of the lawful or unlawful use of any such equipment.<br />

Competitors at a <strong>USPSA</strong> match are solely and personally responsible for the safety<br />

of any and all equipment and ammunition they bring to the match. Neither<br />

<strong>USPSA</strong>, nor any <strong>USPSA</strong> Officers, nor any organization affiliated to <strong>USPSA</strong>, nor<br />

the officers of any organization affiliated to <strong>USPSA</strong> accepts any responsibility<br />

whatsoever in this regard, nor in respect of any loss, damage, accident, injury or<br />

death suffered by any person or entity as a result of the lawful or unlawful use of<br />

any such equipment and ammunition.<br />

12.4 Gender<br />

References made herein to the male gender (i.e. “he”, his”, “him”) are deemed to<br />

include the female gender (i.e. “she”, “her”).<br />

12.5 Measurements<br />

Throughout these rules, with minor exceptions, measurements are expressed in<br />

inches, feet or yards. Measurements expressed in mm or cm in brackets are only<br />

provided as a guide.<br />
