the Environment in the Deep South<br />
<strong>Sierra</strong> <strong>Club</strong> National<br />
Grant amount: $12,000<br />
Protected the natural resources and<br />
environmental heritage of Alabama,<br />
Mississippi and Louisiana by opposing<br />
oil and gas drilling projects, improving<br />
wetlands management, working to<br />
reduce air pollution and publicizing<br />
the health effects of animal waste<br />
runoff from factory farms.
