Discussion • Other challenges in the area include lack of education among adults, and presence of unstable and low wage employment. • Services to improve educational opportunities and job training would be beneficial in this community, especially for adult women.
Suggestions for additional research • More information is needed as to whether current healthcare programs in the area are functioning at maximum capacity and what resources for these programs may be needed. • Future studies should further explore the presence of other barriers to healthcare access, especially related to health seeking behaviors, and whether issues of trust are also a barrier to seeking care.
