The vantage point allows expansive views of Melbourne surrounds stretching from the Melbourne Cricket Ground across the rowing sheds of the Yarra River, along the tree lined St. Kilda Road boulevard and towards the western skyline beyond Southbank. The contemporary atmosphere, integrating the outside panorama into the mood of the interior space. One can enjoy Melbourne’s diverse climate and flow of city life from the comfort of Taxi. The menu offers modern Australian cuisine influenced by Japanese flavors. Created by Executive Chef Tony Twitchett, the menus reflect the high quality, seasonal produce and pristine seafood available in Melbourne. Taxi offers a set menu with three choices in each course to groups over 12. Upon request, Taxi can embellish this menu with extra courses, creating a degustation menu tailored to your specific requirements. Equally important to a superb menu is remarkable wine. Overlooking Federation Square’s main plaza and stage as well as offering 180 degree views of the Yarra River, the River Room & Terrace areas are Melbourne's perfect spaces for any special event. The River Room has the capacity to hold a maximum of 36 guests. The Terrace (fully enclosed with heating and cooling) can accommodate up to 40 guests seated and 55 cocktail style. Both rooms open up into one large room, making them able to accommodate up to 70 guests seated. These spaces within Taxi Dining Room do incur minimum spends. Please contact the Events Department to discuss dates and availability. Bookings in the River Room & Terrace can be from 12noon until 4pm and 6pm until close.
