03 Application study of shallow water wave model (SWAN)

It is seen from above results that not only at the
nearshore observation point (10m), but also at the deep
water observation point (31m) in Liaodong Bay, the
results that we computed from the amended SWAN
model, are more consistent with the observation data
than the results from the default SWAN model in all of
wind processes. Moreover, the difference of HS derived
from the two different wind input formula (Komen and
Janssen) also is diminished. The good agreement with
measurements suggests that the improvement that we
made by introducing a new formula is reasonable and
effective in Bohai Sea.
