<strong>2011</strong> graduates<br />
With this summer’s graduation <strong>of</strong> 15 undergraduates, the <strong>Department</strong> conferred a total<br />
<strong>of</strong> 96 B.S. degrees in the 2010-11 academic year (fall, spring <strong>and</strong> summer). A total <strong>of</strong> 120 M.S.<br />
<strong>and</strong> M.E. degrees were conferred, with 13 this past summer. From our exit surveys, 75 percent <strong>of</strong><br />
our students were headed to work by the fall at companies including established firms Amazon,<br />
Cameron, Campbell Soup, Lockheed Martin <strong>and</strong> Mitsubishi Heavy, <strong>and</strong> startups Fracture <strong>and</strong><br />
Voalte. Lockheed Martin was the leader, hiring three graduates from this summer’s class.<br />
Note that seven Ph.D. students also completed their studies. They are pr<strong>of</strong>iled on page 5<br />
in this newsletter.<br />
