MEMBER OF THE STATE ASSEMBLY,
42ND ASSEMBLY DISTRICT
BRIAN NESTANDE, Republican AGE: 48
OCCUPATION: Lawmaker / Businessman
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
We can solve the budget crisis by doing two things – Limit Spending and
Grow The Economy.
This election year voters face a choice between old policies that have
slowed our states recovery and new policies that will lay a path for a more
prosperous California. Having started my own business, I know the
difficulties job creators face in this state. If California is to be the Golden
State once again, we must stop chasing businesses across state lines
and overseas.
As a legislature, we should enact policies that encourage economic
growth. Our tax and regulatory system should be clear, consistent and
fair to all.
We can and must eliminate duplicating and unnecessary regulations
thereby growing businesses and putting people back to work.
I support enacting real pension reform which will eliminate billions of
dollars in unfunded liabilities.
We should use independent audits to find and remove waste in
government.
A prosperous economy is the best way to ensure support for public
safety, education, and a healthy environment for the next generation of
Californians.
