The First Twelve Days of the Bardo<br />
attracted to the mild yellow light which leads to the realm<br />
of the hungry ghosts and we should not he afraid of the<br />
bright red light of the wisdom of discrimination. Rather we<br />
should think that we merge into the heart of Buddha<br />
Amitabha.<br />
When we are doing this practice we should imagine that<br />
Buddha Ratnasambhava is on the southern channel of the<br />
heart and that Buddha Amitabha is on the rear petal of the<br />
heart.<br />
THE FIFTH DAY IN BARDO<br />
On the fifth day Buddha Amogasiddha shines with<br />
bright green light in union with his consort Sarnaya Tara<br />
together with two bodhisattvas, Vajrapani and Nirvarana<br />
Viskandin “the elimination of all obscurations,” and two<br />
female bodhisattvas, Gandema and Nartima, the goddesses<br />
of incense and dance. There is the majestic green light<br />
which is the essence of the wisdom of accomplishment of<br />
activity as well as the dim red light of the realm of the<br />
jealous gods. We should not be attracted to nor dislike the<br />
mild red light of the jealous gods and we shouldn’t be<br />
afraid of the green light of Amogasiddhas wisdom. Instead<br />
we should imagine that we merge into the heart of Buddha<br />
Amogasiddha.<br />
In terms of the practice, we should imagine that<br />
Amogasiddha is on the northern petal of the channel of the<br />
heart, which is on the left.<br />
THE SIXTH DAY IN BARDO<br />
All five Buddhas have manifested successively in each<br />
of the previous five days. On the sixth day all five appear<br />
simultaneously and together in union and with their retinue<br />
of male and female bodhisattvas. Around them are the four<br />
