Frontier 13 FAQ for Wholesale Customers
A5: Will this change impact the Frontier Company Names, SPIDs, OCNs, RAO, etc?
The company names, OCN, RAO are not impacted by the system conversion. This is a system
only change. However, the SPID will change to Frontier Legacy’s SPID 0121 and the ICSC codes
will change as a result of the conversion to reflect the change in service center. See Appendix A
for new ICSC codes that will be used post conversion. The new ICSC codes will only be used
after the state converts to the Frontier Legacy systems.
A6: Will the same Products and Services be available?
The conversion will not impact the products and services, however, there may be changes as a
result of business decisions that could take place at the same time.
A7: Who can I talk to if I have more questions?
If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact Jackie Gerber, Carrier Services
at jacqueline.gerber@Ftr.com . She will ensure your questions are directed to the right person
on the Carrier team.
A8: Will this conversion impact Frontier Legacy or Acquired West Virginia ordering processes?
There may be some changes to the business rules as the current processes are merged. Any
change to these rules or processes will be communicated using the current Change
Management notification processes. To review the Change Management processes use by
Frontier, please visit, http://frontier.com/Wholesale/ContentPages.aspx?p=42
A9: If my company is ready early, can we convert before the official scheduled date?
No. Frontier needs to convert the entire state on the same day. We cannot hold some circuits/
TNs or bring over some circuits/TNs ahead of schedule. This conversion requires a flash cut
from system to system.
A10: What can I expect regarding cutover weekend and the in-flight process?
More information will be coming out regarding conversion weekend and downtimes but
Frontier will endeavor to limit any downtime impacting carriers. Frontier is preparing
documentation that outlines the in-flight process and will hold a meeting to walk-through this in
detail at least 30 days prior to conversion.
A11: The commitment in the settlement agreement states Frontier must provide the same or
similar functionality with any successor OSS. How is Frontier addressing this?
As you will see in this document and other documents forthcoming, Frontier is looking at each
system with high volumes and ensuring they are cared for in similar ways. However, those that
are not used very often will not be given the same priority. Frontier will provide a matrix of
systems used today and the process/system planned for post conversion.
