ARDENA BEAUTIFICATION DAY

PRE-PLANNING DAY - JANUARY 19 TH – 7:00 pm
Through our deep involvement with The Leader in Me, we are
dedicated to consistently examining best practices to enhance
our beautiful school and culture. Implementing a broad
spectrum of proven processes designed to enhance student
achievement, school culture, parent/community involvement,
as well as social expectations, the Leader in Me philosophy is
thriving here at Ardena School.
We are currently striving to achieve Leader in Me Lighthouse
Status. One requirement of Lighthouse Status is to create an
environment that reflects what is important to our school.
Posters and quotes cannot change a culture alone, but the
surroundings of a school can contribute much toward creating
an atmosphere that is conducive to academic achievement and
students’ peace of mind.
The environment sets the stage for students, staff, and visitors.
It creates a feeling that a person can see, hear, and touch.
Therefore, as a school community we are looking to enhance
the physical space of our school with beautiful murals,
inspirational sayings, bright and colorful bathrooms, etc.
In order to achieve what we would like to do, we need your
help and donations of materials. On Thursday, January 19,
2012, we are having a staff/parent meeting at 7pm in our
cafeteria “Rocky’s Restaurant.” During our meeting, we will
walk the building to determine which areas we will paint etc.
