and will be particularly<br />

useful for <strong>stock</strong>holders and<br />

employers who receive<br />

<strong>steel</strong> at their premises, as well as those delivering it.<br />

It highlights the planning that should take place to<br />

ensure that <strong>steel</strong> can be safely unloaded on site, as<br />

well as the practical precautions necessary during<br />

the <strong>unloading</strong> procedure.<br />

The information contained in this leaflet is taken from<br />

Load safety, a guide produced by the National<br />

Association <strong>of</strong> Steel Stockholders (NASS) in<br />

conjunction with the Health and <strong>Safe</strong>ty Executive<br />

(HSE). Load safety provides further detailed<br />
