At a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the Town of <strong>Methuen</strong> qualified to vote in Town affairs held<br />
on Monday the fifth day of April 1847 agreeable to Warrant No. 56 at four O clock P.M.<br />

Met according to adjournment and voted to raise thirty five hundred dollars to defray<br />
Town charges.<br />
Voted to raise fifteen hundred dollars to repair roads and bridges.<br />
Voted to raise fifteen hundred dollars for the Support of Schools the year ensuing.<br />
Collection of Taxes - Voted that the collection of Taxes for the year ensuing be the same as<br />
last year.<br />
Collector – Josiah Dearborn was chosen.<br />
Voted to reconsider the vote taken on article 13 th at a former meeting.<br />
Voted that article 13 th be referred to the Selectmen for them to make such repairs as they may<br />
think best for the interest of the Town.<br />
