Guidelines for weightages :<br />
(1) Total weightage for the purpose of merit under Section-VI shall not exceed 10 marks except<br />
for M.P.Ed. and B.P.Ed. courses.<br />
(2) Besides the one maximum higher weightage mentioned at Sr.No.(F) (i) to (viii) and weightage at<br />
Sr. No. (ix) and only one weightage of the remaining categories under Clause (A) to (E) of<br />
Section-VI would be added for the purpose of merit for admission to B.P.Ed. and M.P.Ed.<br />
courses.<br />
(3) Sports certificate for admission to M.P.Ed. and B.P.Ed. will only be considered if the candidate<br />
produces the gradation certificate from the respective Govt. in respect of the games/sports for<br />
which the candidate claims sports weightage & eligibility.<br />
In case any State does not issue the Gradation Certificate, the following criteria will be adopted<br />
for accepting the Sports Certificate for admission to M.P.Ed. and B.P.Ed.:<br />

In case of Distt. Position holder, a certificate of authenticity from the concerned Distt.<br />
Association/Federation duly countersigned by the Distt. Sports Officer will be accepted.<br />
In case of State Position holder, National Participation, National Position holder &<br />
International level a certificate of authenticity from concerned State Association/Federation<br />
duly countersigned by the Director Sports of the State will be accepted.<br />
(iii) In case of Inter Collegiate and All India Inter-Varsity position holders the certificate will be<br />
verified from the Director of Sports of the concerned.<br />
(5) The position at National Level will only be considered if the candidate has participated in Inter-<br />
Collegiate Tournaments/ State Level Tournament in the same game/event during college period.<br />
(6) Weightage for the purpose of merit under Clause (E) Section VI will be given only if the<br />
candidate has obtained required Certificates/Distinction during the course of the qualifying<br />
examination on the basis of which he is seeking admission to the course concerned. For example,<br />
if a candidate is seeking admission to M.A. course on the basis of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. examination<br />
he/she will be given weightage, under this clause only if he/she has obtained the required<br />
Certificate during B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. course.<br />
(7) For admission to M.P.Ed and B.P.Ed. the married female selected candidates will have to submit<br />
a certificate from RMO/MO of the <strong>University</strong> Health <strong>Centre</strong> that she is not in her family way,<br />
alongwith an undertaking that if during the course of study, it is found that she is in her family<br />
way, her admission would be liable to be cancelled IPSO-FACTO and all dues paid by her shall<br />
be forfeited.<br />
(8) Weightage/eligibility for sports/games will only be given to those sports/games which are<br />
recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Current list of such sports/games<br />
recognized by AIU is as under :<br />

Trap and Skeet (MW), Power Lifting; Weight-lifting; Best-Physique (Men); Rowing; Soft-ball;<br />
Squash Rackets (Men); Swimming & Diving; Water-Polo (Men); Taekwondo; Wrestling;<br />
Yachting; Basket-Ball; Chess; Cricket; Football; Hand-ball; Hockey; National Style Kabaddi;<br />
Kho-Kho; Lawn Tennis; Volley-ball; Badminton; Table Tennis, Yoga (MW).<br />
