1 - Introduction
The Embraco compressor is designed for durability as well as
exceptional performance. It is after all, the key component within a
refrigerator, freezer or light commercial refrigeration unit, such as in a
vending machine, water cooler or icemaker.
Despite its steel outer shell, the compressor is not indestructible.
Because of its sensitive internal mechanisms and asymmetric external
components, the compressor requires common sense care in handling.
By following the recommended Handling, Transporting and Storing
Procedures outlined in this valuable brochure, you can be certain the
Embraco compressors you have received will leave your dispatch area in
perfect working condition. You may find these procedures very similar to
the materials handling standards your company already requires.
PLEASE NOTE: Failure to comply with Embraco's recommended
handling procedures can result in irreversible damage, which may
render the compressor unusable and void any warranty. These
procedures include protecting the stored compressors from unfavorable
climatic conditions such as excessive humidity, dust, and most
importantly, precipitation such as rain.
