The MFL 2000 is a high-speed,<br />
motorised magnetic flux leakage<br />
scanner capable of inspecting<br />
between 5000-8000 square feet<br />
per shift. The ergonomic design<br />
coupled with the latest magnetic<br />
technology have resulted in an<br />
easy to operate, accurate,<br />
reliable and cost effective<br />
inspection tool.<br />
The motorised scanner has an<br />
auto-stop system, which ensures<br />
any defect above the operator<br />
adjustable threshold is identified.<br />
All controls are situated in a<br />
recess at the top of the unit<br />
allowing easy viewing and<br />
operation whilst being protected<br />
against accidental adjustment.<br />

The Handscan system is<br />
designed to compliment the full<br />
sized scanners, MFL 2000 and<br />
Floormap 2000. Even in such a<br />
small configuration the latest<br />
generation of permanent magnets<br />
enable localised magnetic<br />
saturation of the floor area under<br />
test. Signals from corrosion,<br />
above the operator controllable<br />
threshold, are displayed as both a<br />
visual and audible alarm. It’s low<br />
profile and extendable handle<br />
allow scanning in otherwise<br />
inaccessible areas of storage<br />
tanks such as the shell to annular<br />
area and under pipe work or<br />
heater coils.<br />
