First page <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> original inventory book for zoological specimens since 1850 (now<br />
in custody <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Mammal <strong>Collection</strong>). It says: “Inventory book <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> objects donated and<br />
acquisited to <strong>the</strong> class <strong>of</strong> vertebrates <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> natural history department <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Hungarian<br />
National Museum from 1 st January 1850”<br />
