ANNUAL REPORT 2002 - Inquest

an exciting year for us as we start work on the new project
on youth deaths in prisons and complete the next phase of
the research project on the investigation of contentious
deaths and the treatment of bereaved families. We will
also continue to contribute to the Coroners Review and to
do all the individual casework with families which makes
INQUEST such a vital resource for the families, lawyers
and others involved. Meanwhile the recent move to better
premises and the expansion of the number of people
employed, now four full time and two part time, means
that we are better equipped to take on the new challenges
which face us and that staff at long last have better
working conditions.
I would like to thank all of INQUEST’s staff and
management committee and everyone else who has helped
us in the past year.
