The <strong>International</strong> <strong>Center</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Photography</strong> (ICP) is <strong>the</strong><br />
world’s leading institution dedicated to <strong>the</strong> practice<br />
and understanding <strong>of</strong> photography in all its forms.<br />
Through our exhibitions, educational programs, and<br />
community outreach, we <strong>of</strong>fer an open forum for<br />
dialogue about <strong>the</strong> role images play in our culture.<br />
ICP was founded in 1974 by Cornell Capa (1918-<br />
2008) as a tribute to his bro<strong>the</strong>r, legendary war<br />
photographer Robert Capa. Since our founding,<br />
we have presented more than 500 exhibitions and<br />
<strong>of</strong>fered thousands <strong>of</strong> classes, providing instruction<br />
at every level. ICP is a center where photographers<br />
can connect to create, understand, and experience<br />
photography and where students, educators,<br />
and researchers can take advantage <strong>of</strong> our<br />
comprehensive resources and extensive collections.
