Future Electronics’ Supply Chain Program
Future Electronics’ Global FIRST (Future’s
Inventory Replenishment Systems Technology)
Supply Chain team comprises experienced
manufacturing, materials, IT and operations
professionals who utilize their hands-on expertise
in setting up world class supply chain programs.
Our goal is to apply our knowledge and Future
Electronics’ tool set to help our customers drive
down costs and eliminate waste, while improving
efficiencies in their operations through the use
of “Lean Practices.”
Our primary objectives are to provide our
customers with the industry’s highest level
of on-time delivery (> 99.5%) and the largest
available-to-sell inventory.
Supply Chain Transformation
Many companies today offer supply chain management
- we believe in giving our customers much more than
mere management tools. Future Electronics is uniquely
positioned to offer a comprehensive range of services
and innovative solutions to develop a powerful, customized
program tailored especially for your needs and goals, to
truly transform your supply chain.
Regardless of a company’s size or supply chain needs,
Future Electronics has the experience and resources
to create an optimized solution coordinating delivery
anywhere in the world.
Future Managed Inventory
Future Managed Inventory (FMI) is a unique concept in the
world of electronics distribution. While other distributors
may talk about bonding inventory, only Future Electronics
offers a true electronic bonding process. When a customer
releases product from a FMI, the material is first pulled from
our available-to-sell (ATS) inventory. If the ATS runs
low, only then is the material pulled from the customer’s
FMI bond, resulting in a genuine safety stock.
Future Managed Inventory offers Just-In-Time (JIT)
deliveries, with near-zero lead times, so that you get
what you need, when you need it!
Bonded Inventory Management (BIM)
Ours is a true inventory bonding program. Material is electronically
bonded in our distribution center and delivered to
our customers when needed. With Future Electronics’ BIM,
scheduling orders is no longer required. Our customers
can significantly improve cash-to-cycle time and inventory
turns, while also minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
In addition, our customers will have real-time access to
their bonds and ensure Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery, by
enhancing their BIM program with one of our full-service
e-commerce solution packages, including Web-based
applications.
Introducing Future Energy Solutions
The drive for our company is the global need to
reduce carbon emissions and become more
energy efficient. Governments can provide the
framework, goals and can offer incentives, but
the reality is that industry must come up with the
engineering and technological advances needed
to empower us to meet carbon reduction targets.
Future Electronics has made significant inroads
in the energy sector since 2003 through our
solid-state lighting division - Future Lighting
Solutions, the world’s leading provider of high
power solid-state lighting solutions.
In January 2009, Future Electronics formed a new division
called Future Energy Solutions – FES – to expand on the
success of the FLS model with another vertical segment
approach geared toward complete electronic solutions for
the renewable energy sector. Future Energy Solutions is
applying Future Electronics’ engineering, system design
knowledge, logistics, supply chain expertise and financial
strength to assist our customers in their quest to reduce
energy consumption, move to renewable energy sources
and reduce carbon emissions.
This brochure is focused on technologies that enable the
“Smart Grid” segment, a key area to improve energy
efficiency. Projects related to making our use of energy more
intelligent and efficient are developing throughout the world.
From intelligent meters, to in-home displays, lighting control,
home area networks and connected devices, electronics
are being integrated into all areas of our lives to improve
efficiency and save energy. Future Energy Solutions – FES
- is your partner for system design and integration, logistics
and supply chain expertise in these emerging areas.
