image of a hawk perched on a snowy pine branch above flowering camellia bushes reversed by<br />

chrysanthemum and morning glories extending up the waisted neck, all on a turquoise ground with a dense<br />

pattern of cloud‐form cloisons, the wide mouth with triangular geometric‐patterned pendants to the exterior<br />

and interior, 15.25''h<br />

interior with a pair of karako (Chinese children) frolicking with sprays of blossoming chrysanthemum, the<br />

interior with further karako running with flowering branches below a reishi‐head band suspended from the<br />

rim edged in gold, the base with the Mt Fuji studio mark and signed Fukagawa‐sei, 7.5''diam<br />

enamels with a band of dissolving dragon and phoenix reserves suspending large lappets of phoenix and<br />
