Long serving Board Members Dot Phelan <strong>and</strong> Janet<br />
Decker were announced as dual winners of the 2011<br />
Godden Award.<br />
Both Dot <strong>and</strong> Janet have for over 20 years volunteered their<br />
time <strong>and</strong> worked tirelessly on the MASP Board supporting<br />
MASP in alleviating the impacts of homelessness, abuse,<br />
suffering <strong>and</strong> disadvantage in the community.<br />
Throughout their time on the MASP Board, both Dot <strong>and</strong><br />
Janet also held various positions including President, Vice<br />
President <strong>and</strong> roles on numerous committees.<br />
The Godden Award was established in 2007 in recognition<br />
of those who have made an outst<strong>and</strong>ing contribution to<br />
the aims of MASP <strong>and</strong> the community we serve.<br />
As a tribute to the significance of volunteerism, altruism<br />
<strong>and</strong> community mindedness in supporting the delivery<br />
of crucial community services, the award was named<br />
in honour of two long time MASP carers, Barb <strong>and</strong> Noel<br />
Godden.<br />
