3. Project improving lives of street children<br />
In December 2011 Sshrishti<br />
launched a project to improve<br />
lives of street children in<br />
association with PVR<br />
Childscape. This project is<br />
based in Naraina, Delhi and is<br />
concerned with the children<br />
who hang around the PVR<br />
Cinema in the area. The PVR<br />
group has been carrying out<br />
similar programmes in most of<br />
the areas where their movie<br />
halls are situated. The children<br />
In the Naraina centre meet at<br />
the contact point daily to study<br />
and learn life skills. They also<br />
enjoy a meal and opportunities<br />
of pursuing art craft and<br />
games.<br />
Many of them have been<br />
persuaded to refrain from<br />
substance abuse.<br />
