The Society is pleased to announce the pUblication of
Memoir #3: Supplement to ~ Catalogue/Checklist of the
ButterfTTes of America North of Mexico, edited by Clifford D.
Ferris. Dr.-rerris is rhaTrperson of the 5-person committee
appointed in 1983 to review Memoir #2 and publish results of
their findings. This is the resulting publication.
This work is 110 pages long, and printed in the same size
and format of Memoir #2. It is available only in paperback
form. It contains: (IT General notes on family-group names
and some literature citations; (2) corrections, emendations,
general notes, and additions to the Memoir #2; and (3) a
rudimentary, updated checklist of North American butterflies
(handy to use as a "life" list as well as format for
organizing a collection). It is up-to-date through Vol. 43(1)
of the Journal of the Lepidopterists' Society (1989).
The price is $10 postpaid (surface mail), with a 40%
discount to members, or $6.00 per copy. Please send your
order on the bottom half of this form, and send remittance
with your order form. Checks should be made out to The
Lepidopterists' Society. If first class postage in the U.S.
or air post to Canada are desired, add and extra $I.50. If
air post is desired outside North America, add $3.00 U.S. to
your cost.
