The name THIOKOL has long been synonymous with elastomeric<br />
polysulfide based coatings that offer long-term protection. The<br />
advantages of coatings and sealants formulated with liquid polysulfide<br />
polymers derive from their excellent UV resistance, weatherability,<br />
chemical resistance and thermal stability.<br />

<strong>PolySpec</strong> continues to improve the<br />
THIOKOL product line to include<br />
coatings that are resistant to even<br />
more aggressive chemicals. These<br />
chemical resistant coatings offer longterm<br />
protection from intermittent<br />
and continuous exposures to acids,<br />
caustics, solvents and fuels.<br />
THIOKOL coatings are now<br />
being used extensively for primary<br />
containment such as chemical<br />
process and storage tanks,<br />
underground and aboveground<br />
fuel storage tanks and concrete<br />
sumps. Because of their crackbridging<br />
ability they are also ideal<br />
for use in secondary containment<br />
concrete dikes.<br />
