stood on the pl<strong>at</strong>form talking through the open<br />

window until the train began to move slowly.<br />

"Good-by!" shouted the children. "Goodby,<br />

Daddy! Good-by, Sam!"<br />

Meg leaned over Twaddles, who was se<strong>at</strong>ed<br />

"Don't forget to feed Philip," she cried.<br />

demanded Bobby. "Course the<br />

kiddie-car is on. I saw Mr. Hayes nutting it<br />

on. You ask the conductor."<br />

conductor, who came through presently<br />

for tickets, didn't know.
