$100,000 record-selling pregnancy of the 2009 Basin <strong>Angus</strong> Female<br />

Sale and the $59,000 top-selling pregnancy of the 2009 Trowbridge<br />

Invitational Sale both to Vintage <strong>Angus</strong> Ranch of California where one of<br />

those resulting females, VAR Lucy 9235, went on to sell one-half interest<br />

for $80,000 for a $160,000 valuation as the top-selling individual of the<br />

2009 Vintage Sale to Spruce Mountain Ranch of Colorado.<br />

from the now-deceased Basin Lucy 178E who sold one-half interest for<br />

$205,000 for a $410,000 valuation as an aged donor and has generated<br />

nearly $3.5 million in progeny sales to date.<br />

The dam of this heifer continues to rank as the top growth EPD cow of<br />

her generation with progeny weaning and yearling ratios of 109 on seven<br />

natural calves combined with progeny IMF and ribeye ratios of 103 and<br />

102, respectively, on 97 head evaluated by ultrasound with 43 daughters<br />

in production posting a collective progeny weaning ratio of 105.<br />

Maternal sisters include an impressive array of some of the top-valued<br />

females of the <strong>Angus</strong> breed including the <strong>Jocko</strong> <strong>Valley</strong> foundation<br />

donor featured in this sale as Lot 13, as well as the $440,000 valued<br />
