I volunteer at Marie Curie Club
Downpatrick, Barnardos, DRP, Special
Olympics, The Transplant Games,
Knockevin Summer Scheme &Habitat
for Humanity Malawi Project 2012
What inspired you to get involved?
My mother & grandmother were the
most inspirational influences regarding
my desire to volunteer. Both worked in
community care for years & watching
them & learning how to care for people
instilled in me kindness & a need to
care for people who need it most.
Would you encourage others to
become a Millennium Volunteer ?
Volunteering by far surpasses any
other opportunities. You can volunteer
& gain experience in any career that
your interested in. You make new
friends & acquire excellent contacts
who will always be there for you as you
settle into full time work.
