in error, so that You will have the use of Your money during the time it takes Us to complete our investigation. If We<br />

ask You to put Your complaint or question in writing and We do not receive it within 10 business days, We may not<br />

credit Your account. We will tell You the results within 3 business days after completing the investigation. If We<br />

decide that there was no error, We will send You a written explanation. You may ask for copies of the documents<br />

that We used in our investigation. If We have credited Your account with funds while investigating the error, We<br />

will charge Your account for those funds if We conclude no error has occurred. In this provision, all references to 10<br />

business days will be 20 business days if Your notice of error involves an electronic fund transfer that occurred<br />

within 30 days after the first deposit to Your account was made and all references to 45 business days will be 90<br />

business days if Your notice of error involves an electronic fund transfer that occurred within 30 days after the first<br />

deposit to Your account was made.<br />

Business Days<br />

Our business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.<br />

Disclosure of <strong>Account</strong> Information<br />

We will disclose information to third parties about Your account or the transfers You make:<br />

Where it is necessary to complete transfers.<br />

In order to verify the existence and condition of Your account for a third party, such as a credit bureau or<br />

merchant.<br />

In order to comply with any governmental agency or court orders.<br />

If You give Us written permission.<br />

Right to Stop Payment for Preauthorized Transfers<br />

If You want to stop any pre-authorized transfers, call Us at 313.336.2700 or write Us write Us at <strong>DFCU</strong> <strong>Financial</strong>,<br />

PO Box 6048, Dearborn, MI 48126-6048 in time for Us to receive Your request three business days or more before<br />

the transfer is scheduled to be made. Written confirmation of the stop request will be provided to You. Such stop<br />

notice will apply only to that particular transfer.<br />

Your Liability for Unauthorized Use<br />

Telephone Us at once at 313.336.2700 or write to Us at <strong>DFCU</strong> <strong>Financial</strong>, PO Box 6048, Dearborn, MI 48126-6048 if<br />

You believe Your member number, password, security questions or answers or other means of identification We<br />

have provided to You has been lost or stolen, or if You believe an electronic funds transfer has been made without<br />

Your permission. Telephoning is the best way of keeping Your possible losses down. If You tell Us within 2 business<br />

days after You learn of the loss or theft of Your member number, password, security questions or answers or other<br />

means of identification We have provided to You, You can lose no more than $50 if someone uses Your information<br />

to access Your accounts without Your permission.<br />

If You fail to tell Us within 2 business days after You learn of the loss or theft of Your member number, password,<br />

security questions or answers or other means of identification We have provided to You and We can prove that We<br />

could have stopped someone from accessing Your accounts without Your permission if You had told Us, then You<br />

could lose as much as $500. Additionally, if Your periodic statement shows transactions that You did not make,<br />

including those made through <strong>DFCU</strong> OnLine, You will tell Us at once. If You fail to tell Us within 60 days after We<br />

mail You, the first periodic statement on which the transaction appears, You could lose the entire account balance if<br />

We can prove We could have stopped someone from taking Your money if You had give Us notice in time. If a valid<br />

reason (such as a long trip or hospital stay) keeps You from giving Us notice, We will extend the time periods.<br />

Credit Union Liability for Failure to Make Transfers<br />

If the Credit Union does not complete a <strong>DFCU</strong> OnLine transfer to or from Your account on time, or in the correct<br />

amount according to its agreement with You, the Credit Union will be liable for Your losses or damages. However,<br />

We will not be liable if:<br />

Through no fault of the Credit Union, You do not have sufficient funds available to make the transfer;<br />

The transfer would go over the credit limit of Your overdraft line;<br />

Your account has been closed or is frozen;<br />

The system was not working properly and You knew of the malfunction at the time the transfer was<br />

scheduled to occur;<br />

Circumstances beyond the control of the Credit Union prevent the transfer despite reasonable precautions<br />

taken by the Credit Union;<br />

A court order or other legal process prohibits the transfer of payment;<br />

You have previously reported to the Credit Union that You have a reasonable basis for believing that<br />

unauthorized use of Your identification number or password has occurred or may be occurring;<br />
